Managed to wangle my way into this one, not to be missed check the blurb below!

This is a sneak preview trailer for a one off exhibition of 3
deckades of skateboard art that howies and Shiners Distribution are
curating at howies 62 Queens Road store in Bristol running from April
17th. Chris Allen of Shiner has kindly agreed to let us have access
to their whole archive of decks. We’ve chosen over 200 favorites
which will be on show for a month. With boards from every deckade
that Shiners have been distributing the biggest names in
skateboarding to the british public it will be a treat for any
skateboard fan and graphic freak . There will be decks on show from
Dogtown, Sims, Sant Cruz, Powell Peralta, Vision, Schmitt stix, G & S, Zorlac, Alva,
Santa Monica Airlines, plus a host of others. There will also be a
series of one off decks painted by guest artists that will be
auctioned for unicef at the end of the exhibition. All boards are
hand painted and Jim Phillips, Geoff McFetridge, Pete Fowler, French,
Kev Grey, Will Barras, Mr Jago, China Mike, Marcus Oakley, Andy J
Miller, Chris Bourke, Mr Bingo, Bowlegs, Millie Marotta, Gav Strange,
Danny Wainwright, Jethro Haynes and Nigel Peake’s boards will all be
on show for the month.

The Manchester Met Uni has an exhibition on at the moment called Art by Offenders

I actually heard about it a little while ago, It’s a really great idea i reckon, but then i got told i was in it? I didn’t even know i had been arrested!

It appears that prison libraries are packing Street Sketchbook, either that or me and RPM have been forced to share a cell again and I’ve blocked it out.

i’m not angry, I’m just amazed. I mean you cant really be mad at someone for biting if they are already in jail.

Been shooting an advert in Egypt with some friends over at Collision Films, check out their music videos whilst you’re there.

The whole video is animation and timelapse and i can honestly say i have never painted so much in my life.

A bit of an education in speed painting. Basically each painting would only be one frame in the animation and a 12th of a second in the final video.

I had to learn to not be so clean with the lines and just get it done as quick as possible so we could move on to the next frame.

Easier said then done when you’re painting a two story godzilla from a cherry picker that has a naked chick coming out of his head and your being directed from the ground with a laptop, megaphone and laser pointer to animate her tits jiggling.

The whole shoot was made even more interesting as we had to order montana 94 from Israel, which was promptly confiscated at the Egyptian border. The problem being that any packages coming from Israel to Egypt are treated with a lot of suspicion. Something to do with who has the best god i think. Whilst this was happening our Ukranian fixer got her embassy involved and the Ukranian foreign minister. It also happened to be the same day the Ukranian people inaugurated their new prime minister.

This meant that we had to paint every scene of our video with emulsion and Egyptian car paint. Steep learning curve but it made it that much more interesting.

Some projects seem cursed from the outset. After paying a guy to let us climb a pyramid at Giza i think we angered the pharoahs. On set we had a swarm of bees interupt the first scene we filmed. Also the mother of all hail storms.

Our Egyptian producer who was in his thirties then told us he had never seen ice fall from the sky!

Huge thanks to Ben and Chris at Collision for getting me on board and big up to my painting partners RPM and Mr Dave Whittle. Amazing time!

Back from Egypt and it was amazing, hard work but well worth it. 5.00am starts and painting all day to get it done.

Learnt a lot, mainly that showers and bed are the best two things in world.

The idea is that the War side is attacking the peaceful peace people at the bottom, but i think peace wins, because that ghost at the top has the final say.
